The Battle is the Lord’s

365 Days of Growing Together
“Under Construction”

Hi WR2W, do you ever wake up and realize that today is hard and all you really want to do is stay in bed, away from everything and everyone?  Well, lately I have been having these types of days.  However, I continue to look to the Hills, the place where I know my help comes from, and that is from the Almighty God.  Learning how to encourage yourself is one of the most instrumental tools you will need on this journey called life.  David encouraged himself when times became rough, and we too need to follow David’s example and depend upon God to conquer our Goliath (whatever giant—obstacle, that is before us).  As Christians, we must understand that no battle is ours, but all battles are the Lord’s.  When we learn to trust the Lord in all things and for all things, we will always receive the victory because God, He always win!

I encourage you today to look at your Goliath in the face and openly declare to him, her, and/or it that you have come in the name of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.  Do not be shaken nor do you present any sign of fear.  WR2W, stand bold and confident, walk upright in the Lord, take heed to His strategy, and execute it in obedience and with grace.  It is time that we stand tall and face Goliath together.  Will it be easy?  It can be, if we do not try to fight Goliath; especially on our own strength, but if we turn it over to God, trust Him to take care of it, and live in His perfect peace, I believe in my heart it can be easy.  You know what I have learned, there is nothing that God cannot handle, therefore, if He has given us the authority and the strategy to slay Goliath, why should we worry?  What are you worried about today?  Whatever it is, let us take it to God in prayer.  I love each of you, be blessed, be encouraged, and be true!

Let us pray……

Father God, in the name of Jesus.  We come before you the only way we know how, and that is with a humble and thankful heart.  God, we acknowledge you as God, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and we surrender our all to you this day.  Whatever Goliath we are trying to fight on our own strength, please forgive us for our ignorance and disobedience.  We turn Goliath over to you right now God, and we ask in the name of Jesus, that you defeat this enemy and give us the strategy to not only take him, her, and/or it down, but to slay this giant where getting back up for Goliath is impossible.  Lord, we thank you for your divine wisdom, strength, power, and authority.  God, in the name of Jesus, we seal this prayer with the blood of Jesus, Amen!

  1. Amen, Amen and Amen!! I truly needed this, I have been dealing with a Goliath these past few days and I was drawn to my bed for the past few days. Down in the dumps per session. But I pushed myself and repeatedly encouraged myself in the Lord. Especially after reading this, now I’m so much better. Thanks for these encouraging words my baby. Well deserved and needed. Right on time. Glory to God!!!

    1. Aunt Betty, I am here to tell you that God has already worked it out for you and all is well. Continue to keep pressing and serving Him the way that you do because Goliath is already defeated. Love you!

  2. No giant can defeat us! Let God be exalted & the devil be defeated! We fight giants in the spirit! As we put the whole armor of God on, we know that no weapon formed against us shall prosper! Finally my brethren be strong in the Lord & in the power of His might! The battle is yours Lord!
